Crafted from a premium high-tensile E4340 Chromoly Steel forging, a strong and durable alloy known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, resistance to wear, fatigue, and high impact. Progressive dies are used in the forging process to assure a grain flow that follows the shape of the finished crankshaft.

Engineered with cutting-edge CNC machining, each crankshaft undergoes micro-polishing and nitriding to ensure a smooth, hardened surface that resists wear and fatigue under extreme conditions. Counterweighted for reduced oil foaming, vibration and crank flex, it provides smoother operation and enhanced engine longevity, even at high RPMs. Available in a range of stroke lengths from 78.4mm to 86mm—this crankshaft lets you customize your displacement for maximum torque and horsepower. Choose between standard VW rod journals or Chevy-sized journals to match your preferred connecting rods.

Additional features include shot peening for improved fatigue resistance, magnafluxing to guarantee flaw-free construction, and pre-installed flywheel dowel pins for hassle-free assembly. NOTE: CBP Crankshafts are factory balanced, but once a flywheel and clutch pressure plate are installed, the entire assembly should be re-balanced prior to installation.
